ALO Power Audio Converter offers you support for 20 different media codecs. You can convert or extract audio from WAV, MP3, OGG, AIFF, WMA, AVI, MP4, MOV, or 3GP media files into WAV, MP3, MP2, OGG, AC3, VOX, WMA, and AMR audio files. The program allows for batch conversions, and lets you add full folders to your tasks window, with a very practical and simple interface.
The full list of audio codecs supported is not easy to find in the average audio converter, especially when it comes to speech audio standards. The usual audio converter tends to cover as many music audio standards as possible, leaving out most of those designed for speech and digital audio transmission via telephone. In ALO Power Audio Converter, along with the well known MP3, OGG, and AC3 formats, you will find U-LAW, A-LAW, VOX, G.721, G.723, G.726, or G.729, which are now becoming widely used for G3P applications.
The interface presented to the user adjusts perfectly to the functionality of the application. All the formats supported are present in the main window, and most of them offer you the possibility of changing the by-default settings presented by the software. Only when WMA is selected, the program shows you an extensive drop-down list of profiles, which cannot be customized.
